Specific expense of ferrosilicium per 1 t of cast iron is calculated according ratio where K_FeSi is specific expense of ferrosilicium, kg/t; a is silicium content in ferrosilicium, %; Mn and Si is content of manganese and silicium respectively, before treatment, %. 55-65 % of total expense of ferrosilicium is fed into cast iron before casting begins, residual portion of ferrosilicium is fed when 40-50 % of cast iron is cast.
