FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: heat engine has two tanks partially filled with liquid and gas. The portion of the first tank filled with liquid is connected with a hydraulic motor the outlet from which is connected with the second tank. The gas portion of the second tank is connected with the inlet and outlet passageways provided with valves at their inlets. There is at least one combustion chamber which is provisionally and alternately insulated from both the gas portion of the first tank and gas portion of the second tank with the use of valves. There is also a slide valve with at least one chamber defined by the outer side of the slide valve and inner side of the housing wherein the slide is coaxially mounted. The slide valve can rotate about its axis. The chamber of the slide valve can be provisionally and alternately connected with both the gas portion of the first tank and the liquid portion of the second tank. The first tank serves for expansion of combustion products. The second tank serves for compression of fresh portion of air. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 5 dwg
