FIELD: automatic fuel-control systems for gas-turbine engines. SUBSTANCE: surge is eliminated by readjusting metering needle 11 and transfer valve 15 to minimal flow rate Gtmin 1) with aid of control valves 2, 3 providing communication between respective spaces and constant-pressure source and drain space. Upon recovery of initial conditions due to surge elimination, servo piston 7 controlled by valve 2 goes to the right at slower speed due to throttle stack 8. Tension of spring 6 rises thus varying pressure drop across flowrate sensor 17. Fuel flow gradually increases from value maintained by transfer valve 15 (Gtmin 1) to that provided by metering needle 11 in minimum stop position (Gtmin 2). In extreme right-hand position, drain from control spaces of valve 15 and needle 11 is shut off, and flowrate increases to initial condition at pick-up rate obeying regulator laws. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
