FIELD: measurement technology; flaw detection in thermoelectric converter hot junction. SUBSTANCE: hot junction temperature is varied by passing electric current pulse from its negative electrode to positive one. Thermal emf of converter is measured at the moment of current disconnection and compared with thermal emf of reference converter obtained under similar conditions; comparison results are used to assess quality of junction. EFFECT: reduced cost of inspection without impairing metrological characteristics. 2 cl, 1 dwg
