FIELD: sports equipment. SUBSTANCE: space of harpoon is filled with compressed air through check valve. During acceleration of harpoon after firing stabilizer moves to tail part and rod travels to tail part over distance determined by relation of elasticity forces of spring and sum of inertial forces and hydrodynamic resistance acting on cavitator and rod. As result of this travel of rod with cavitator its tail part moves way from socket and opens passage for air to space behind cavitator through ducts which leads to formation of artificial cavern around body of harpoon and flag to hold the catch. EFFECT: improved hitting efficiency of harpoon. 2 dwg
