FIELD: laryngology and cancer diseases. SUBSTANCE: acoustic detection of vocal fold fixation includes uttering vocalics followed by their spectral analysis. The latter consists in determining difference between frequencies of principal tone of voice for each uttered vocalic phoneme. Acoustic signal is passed through vocal filters with transmission band not higher than 1%. If malignant neoplasm is present, above difference would essentially deviate from that in normal persons.
