METHOD FOR RECONSTRUCTING SONOROUS SPEECH IN PATIENTS AFTER COMPLETE LARYNGECTOMY Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61N2/00 G09B5/04

Abstract RU 2286812 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: vocal trainings should be fulfilled due to introducing patient's vocal signal through a microphone into computer-software complex followed spectral analysis of obtained vocal signal with the help of complex of algorithms which enable to isolate the frequency of the main vocal tone and detect threshold value. Vocal trainings should be carried out and according to possessing the skill for speech it is necessary to increase threshold value and conduct further vocal trainings. At the first stages the duration of vocal trainings corresponds to about 4-6 min, twice or thrice in every 45-60 min. On having the experience of sonorous speech this time should be prolonged up to 8-10 min twice or thrice daily in every 30-45 min. The innovation enables to reconstruct sonorous speech in patients after complete laryngectomy.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
