APPARATUS FOR CLEANING GAS FROM ADMIXTURES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning petroleum associated gas from liquid admixtures. SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises vertical cylindrical housing with tangential inlet branch pipe, gas outlet branch pipe, liquid discharge pipe union and horizontal partition. Apparatus is provided with rotor made in the form of perforated sleeve with corrugations and perforated ferrule mounted coaxially in sleeve and provided with corrugations. Perforations of sleeve are located at peaks of corrugations and perforations of ferrule are located between corrugations inclined towards generatrices of sleeve and ferrule, respectively. Corrugations available on sleeve and ferrule ensure effective cleaning under conditions of abrupt fluctuations of loads due to intensive rotation of rotor by flow and centrifugal separation of admixtures between corrugations.
