FIELD: construction technology. SUBSTANCE: this relates to treating stone of medium and low hardness. According to method, stone is procured and is subjected to sawing, grinding, cutting out according to required article, sand-blasting. Ready article is polished. Raw material in the form of lumps of mineral is sawn into strips 15-20 mm thick and is dried at temperature of 20-70 C during 24 h. Material is then covered with warm gluing composition such as epoxy resin or other. Then strip of required thickness is sawn out. Two strips are connected together by their sides not covered with gluing composition, they are ground together and glued to each other by aforesaid composition. Polishing of ready articles is effected by acid-free polishing compounds. Method adds to strengthening of mineral raw material in process of treatment and thus reduces loss of material.
