FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in pre-making of mineral mosaic element from composition of various fractions and colours. Said element is bonded with flat substrate by polymer adhesive crushed stone filler. Preset pattern and texture of the surface composed by mosaic elements are made on said flat substrate with limiters. Produced surface is dried and finished. Prior to bonding of elements on flat substrate of sheet glass aforesaid mineral composition is prepared by crushing the stone to fractions of 0.2-2 mm at stone crumbs-to-stone dust filler ratio equal to 4 and epoxy resin filler of 1. Said composition is mixed with binder based on epoxy resin. Limiters composed by metal webs, their height not larger than that of mosaic elements, are arranged on substrate for mosaic elements to preset pattern. Said mosaic elements are placed between said limiters to make mosaic pattern limited thereby. Note here that every colour is applied separately, in turns and in arbitrary order. Surface is levelled by uniformly applied mineral composition of mineral crumbs and aforesaid polymer binder with stone dust filler. Applied composition is subjected to drying at 20-25°C for 20-24 hours till uniform solidification of mosaic elements.
