LOCOMOTIVE BODY-TO-BOGIE SIDE SUPPORT Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; mating of locomotive body with bogie. SUBSTANCE: side support has housing with oil bath installed on bogie frame. Upper and lower support plates are arranged in bath. Lower support plate is rigidly secured on bogie frame, and upper support plate, on main frame of locomotive. Wear resistant coating with inner shaped contour is applied over perimeter of surface of above-indicated lower support plate. Inner shaped contour is formed by alternating trapezium-shaped sections of support plate coated and non-coated with wear resistant layer. Upper support plate is made in form of disk consisting of separate resilient lobes some ends of which are rigidly coupled with each other and are connected with locomotive main frame, thus forming disk bottom. Other ends rest on lower support plate for movement over coated and non-coated sections when bogie turns in running. Coefficient of friction of the coating is lower than that of material of lower support plate. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 dwg
