FIELD: space power engineering; on basis of solar radiation converted due to photoeffect into DC energy which may be reworked and directed to the Earth. SUBSTANCE: solar space power station located in geosynchronous orbit is rated for generation of large amount of DC energy. Power station includes base longitudinal part with branches secured to it perpendicularly at small distances in one plane; they are mounted from sectional folding hermetic modules-envelopes expanding automatically in space. Modules-envelopes are made from strong flexible material with linear stiffeners secured to it. Power station includes also thin-fill solar batteries containing residual atmospheric air inside them. Power station has an operational advantage due to manufacture of it from modules automatically expanding in space due to residual atmospheric air and due to use of empty cargo rockets as branches of cases. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 5 dwg
