FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: claimed method of preparing mixture of C9-alcohols from olefins comprises dimerizing olefin raw material in the presence of solid phosphoric acid based catalyst. Said olefin raw material comprises butene and optionally propene and having butene molar proportion of at least 50 % based on total olefin content. Isobutylene content in butene is not higher than 55 %, and reactor outlet temperature is maintained at 200 to 235 C, spatial rate is not greater than 4.1 cubic m/h/kg of catalyst method also comprises olefinic dimer and hydrogenating oxonated product.
