Process for making vanadium containing steel alloys from such agglomerates comprises crushing vanadium containing agglomerate, mixing crushed vanadium containing agglomerate with standard crushed iron agglomerate to obtain mixed crushed agglomerate and melting mixed crushed agglomerate under reducing conditions to form vanadium containing steel alloy.
