SIDEWALK CLEANING VEHICLE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: municipal cleaning machinery. SUBSTANCE: this vehicle is intended for cleaning sidewalks both in summer and winter periods. Vehicle is based on self-propelled chassis and has power-driven side brush 2 and main brush 3 kinematically connected with engine 7 through gearbox 4, clutch 5, main belt drive 6. Also provided are trash collector 8, device 9, 10 for lifting and lowering of working members, and device 11 for dedusting of collected trash. Self-propelled chassis 1 is three-wheeled with two front wheels and one rear wheel. Front left-hand wheel 14 is power-driven and provided with braking device. Front right-hand wheel is trailing, rear wheel 17 is power-driven and steerable. Front left-hand wheel 14 and rear wheel 17 are power-driven from engine 7 through main belt drive 6, clutch 5, gearbox 4, and chain drives. Rear wheel drive differs in that drive axle 23 of wheel 17 is connected through hinges 24 of equal angular velocities with driven sprocket 25 of chain drive. Rear wheel 17 is steered from driver's cab by means of steering wheel 29 which is connected through leverage with radial-thrust bearing 34 located in plane of frame 12 of self-propelled chassis 1. Drive axle 23 of rear wheel 17 is connected by means of L-shaped lever 35 with bearing. Lifting and lowering of working members are effected by device made in the form of screw mechanism 9 and friction drive 10. Working members are moved by means of ropes. Dedusting of collected trash is effected by water. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 cl, 18 dwg
