FIELD: thermal engineering. SUBSTANCE: furnace has vertical combustion chamber, hot-water duct communicating through burners with combustion chamber and through bottom-blast air duct, with air nozzles installed in opposition in staggered manner at entrance of dry-bottom hopper along extended ramps. Number of air nozzles per unit length of extended ramps of dry-bottom hopper is between 0.4 and 0.8 pieces per m; proportion of air for bottom blast in total amount of air supplied for burning l ≥ 0,2. For tangential furnaces, air nozzles abutting against short ramps of dry-bottom hopper are built up of two nozzles one of which faces opposite extended ramp and other one, short ramp. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 2 dwg
