FIELD: heat-power engineering; various thermal units.
SUBSTANCE: proposed furnace unit includes vertical combustion chamber, burners, under-grate blast nozzles mounted along two slopes of ash hopper, air ducts with adjusting valves for burners and for under-grate blast nozzles, two-jet top blast burners mounted on combustion chamber wall , air ducts with adjusting valves for top blast nozzles; under-grate blast nozzles are two-jet nozzles; angle between axes ranges from 10 to 30 deg. and bisector of this angle intersects slope of ash hopper at distance to upper plane of ash hopper equal to 0.5-0.8 of its height; extension of bisector intersects plane of opposite slope at angle of 20-40 deg.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to extended adaptable capabilities to change of fuel characteristic and change of load of combustion chamber.
