FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: specimen of material to be analyzed is heated to 1000-1100 C in 1:1 to 1:5 mixture of halogen-containing and inert gases fed with rate 50-80 cu.cm/s. Under these conditions, elements of interest combine with halides and are entrained with gas mixture into burner, whereto combustible gas mixture is also fed, its volume being equal or greater than that of reaction mixture but not greater than fivefold. Analyzer constitutes a device containing inlet block with heater and burner. Inlet block is constructed in the form of quartz tube directly connected with central slit of burner. Its side slits are not connected with central one but communicate with each other and with combustible mixture source. EFFECT: improved procedure. 2 cl, 1 dwg
