FIELD: bending of sheet rolled products. SUBSTANCE: method involves describing contour of product 13 in parametric form in accordance with drawing by means of polar coordinate system defined by pair of chord of constant length, with one chord being used as polar axis, other chord as polar radius and their common point as pole; performing measurements, with chords being moved along predetermined contour, and determining angles between them and current distances from end of product 13 to ends of polar axis, radius and pole; bending product 13 and forming front portion sufficient to accommodate angular motion sensor 21 and pivotal support 34. In the process of bending, sensor 21 measures angles between bars 29 and 33 of length equal to that of chords of polar system coordinates. End of bar 29 used as polar radius is fixed in bending zone on fixed pivotal support 30 and end of bar 33 used as polar axis is fixed on second pivotal support 34. Angular motion sensor 21 and support 34 are disposed on carriages mounted on billet 13. Linear and angular motion sensors 23 and 21 deliver data on linear motion of billet 13 and current angle between bars 29 and 33 to comparison unit 22, which compares actual values with predetermined values to correct position of bending tool 18 in proportion with unbalance value. Bending is performed by means of rolls 14 and 15, which are preliminarily positioned in datum plane extending through their axis of rotation 16 and 17 and through current polar coordinate point on support. In case flexure moment is directed from roll 15 to roll 14, roll 15 is imparted rocking motion about axis axially aligned with support 30. It allows measurement point to be coincided with point of surface of formed portion of product 13 at bending zone outlet end. When direction of flexure moment is changed, levels of degree of rolls 14 and 15 are measured.
