SUBSTANCE: introduced in color cathode-ray tube that has cathode, control, accelerating, two focusing, and positive electrodes arranged along tube axis is additional cathode electrode whose voltage is synchronized with that applied to main cathode electrode inserted between control electrode and nearest focusing electrode.
