FIELD: manufacture of branch pipes on hollow cylindrical articles with thickness of branch pipe wall equal to that of article or more than it. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of flanging oval opening cut beforehand in cylindrical article and according to flanging process continuously upsetting wall of branch pipe at acting upon formed end surfaces of branch pipe by means of deforming and spinning tools spaced by predetermines distance from generatrix of cylindrical surface of article. At process of shaping branch pipe working surfaces of drawing tool driven to rotation and moved in vertical direction engage with wall of article for expanding and drawing mouth of branch pipe. Simultaneously, deforming and spinning tool having curvilinear working surface joined with outlet portion normal to rotation axis rotates and upsets wall of flanged branch pipe. It allows to realize continuous-successive process of flanging and upsetting for making branch pipe with predetermined height and wall thickness. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 dwg
