FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to rotary extrusion processes. It can be used for forming blanks of thin-wall asymmetric shells with constant depth over generatrix described by 2nd order curve. Rotary expansion and drawing of thin-wall shells from stainless refractory steels and alloys with conjugation of complex shape are performed by multipass spinning of blank, spinning tool arranged with clearance relative to the latter, particularly, two spinning rolls, roughing and finishing. Roll displacement paths ruling out shell gage interference beyond tolerances in forming the complex shape are set separately for every roll by control program for reeling mill with due allowance for temperature strains caused by mandrel heating at previous pass.

EFFECT: production of thin-wall shells, ruled out local flaws over the entire machined surface.
