FIELD: organosilicon chemistry; medicine, agriculture. SUBSTANCE: 1-(chloromethyl)silatrane having formula ClCH2Si•(OCH2CH2)3N is prepared by ester interchange of suitable (chloromethyl)trialkoxy silane ClCH2Si•(OR)3 where R is Me, Et. The process is carried out within 20-25 h at 18-23 C with the help of triethanol amine. Yield of product is 72-97 %. EFFECT: improved efficiency.
