FIELD: drilling equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has three grips and each of them can be adjusted for achieving endless number of adjustments. Grip adjustment means are symmetrical relative to central plane and incorporate spherical section. Different parts of spherical section operate for closing and bringing each grip in operation. What real part is activated depends on actual unit or required adjusted position of grip. Each grip is designed so as to ensure stable clamping of part of drilling pipe. Only one side of each grip has jaw which is installed with possibility for turning. Grip adjusting mechanism performs both opening and closing of grip therefore there is no need for applying hand effort at any time to any part of grip. EFFECT: high efficiency. 13 cl, 6 dwg
