FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: end face sealing has axially movable friction ring mounted inside the housing and spring-loaded with a flexible member to the end face of the rotating member mounted on the shaft. The flexible member is made up as a semi-corrugation whose top and base made up as coaxial cylindrical surfaces interconnected through a cross- piece. The outer and inner sides of the cross-piece is convex, preferably spherical, at least in a portion of its circumference, the maximum width of the crosspiece being in its intermediate portion.
