FIELD: manufacture of power plants for transport facilities; land, water and air transport facilities. SUBSTANCE: method of forming thrust consists in creating pressure of fluid medium contained in chamber brought in communication with surrounding medium by means of at least one passage; this pressure is more than or lesser than pressure of surrounding medium; in first case, fluid medium is pumped out by means of pump and in second case, fluid medium is fed to chamber from fluid medium source located inside or outside the chamber and use is made of jet curtain to guard passage from surrounding medium.
