FIELD: treatment of sulfide-containing sewage, e! g! effluents from enterprises of leather industry. SUBSTANCE: iron is electrochemically dissolved in aqueous solution of medium or low-basic aluminium salt taken in concentration 40-210 g/l based on alumina content. Process is conducted at temperature 70-80 C, current density 9-25 A/sq.dm, under oxidizing conditions provided by sparging solution with chlorine gas flow or air flow.
