FIELD: construction of buildings in areas liable to earthquakes. SUBSTANCE: multistory seismic building "LASAM" is composed of individual spatial closed units-stories mounted on another. Each unit includes walls with plates of ceiling incorporating coverage and foundation plates which have ribs made on side of seismic insulation layer arranged in symmetry and with clearance with reference to each other. Ribs are located along perimeter of outer wall and technological openings. Width of rib flange of coverage plate exceeds width of rib flange of foundation plate to each side by value of possible amplitude of dynamic movement of closed unit- storey placed above. Seismic insulation layer is made of loose material of fine fraction (for instance, quartz sand) and is separated from ribs of foundation and coverage plates by transition layer of loose material of medium fraction (for instance, grass or finely crushed stone). Width of transition layer of loose material equals width of protrusion of coverage plate. Flanges of ribs of foundation and coverage plates are mounted with clearance which dimension does not exceed one third of size of particle of loose material of transition layer. EFFECT: enhanced stability of building under seismic loads thanks to expansion of range of possibility of dynamic movements and to increase of damping. 3 cl, 2 dwg
