FIELD: OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION. SUBSTANCE: composition contains polyglycerol (10-40 wt %) and exhausted caustic soda from gas scrubbing processes (60-90 wt %). The latter contains at least 5 wt % sodium hydroxide and/or sodium carbonate and has pH 10. Composition can be applied in the middle and late stages of oil deposit development. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of oil recovery from irregular deposit collectors, reduced water content in produced oil, and reduced expenses on water insulation operations. 5 tbl
