METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ASSEMBLY OF DOUBLE-ROW SPHERICAL BALL BEARINGS WITH TAB-TYPE CAGES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of antifriction bearings of instrument group. SUBSTANCE: preliminarily oriented cage is delivered to assembly position where inner race of bearing is centered over its inner diameter and cage is rigidly secured. Forced delivery of balls to seats of cage is effected circumfentially and simultaneously at two diametrically opposite sides at turn of outer race. Device used for assembly of bearings includes feed disk, two bins for balls communicating with race with drive screw feeders inside them. Cam disks and spring-loaded bushes mounted on the outside of races are used for engagement with outer race of ball bearing. Flexible plate for locking the cage is fitted on end face of one of races. Bins are provided with agitators. Drives of feed disk, cam disks and screw feeders are kinematically linked and are synchronized. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 6 cl, 5 dwg
