SUBSTANCE: images of boundaries of sections with constant height of terrain, boundaries of dominating strikes of linear elements in spatially differentiated image of specified region and boundaries of sections with dominating direction of river beds are formed from starting image of earth surface. Units, mesaunits and macrounits in which images morphological units are marked are formed by images of sections. Subsets of promising units in which vicinities large oil and gas field are predicted with high degree of authenticity are determined by characteristics of morphological units.
