RADIO-NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM (BAGIS-A) Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2097780 C1

FIELD: radio- navigational systems intended for solution of complex problems of short-range navigation. SUBSTANCE: it is a pulsed-phase locked system using the principle of retransmission of the reference signal by a well regulated station network with fixed coordinates. The system algorithm, structural realization of stations and receivers-computers combined with movable objects make it possible to obtain high accuracies of coordinate measurement at instabilities of reference generators Δf/f = 10-8, excluding static and random errors caused by: - time delay of detection of the reference signal; - time instability of retransmission delay; - space fluctuation of the radio wave phase. It is provided by formation of two frequencies that are radiated on the air successively in time in the active mode of station operation. According to the results of measurement of time intervals between reference signals, the receivers - computers determine the ranges to the reference stations that are converter to the coordinates of the point of reception of signals. The radio-navigational system provides for: - all-weather operation and servicing of an unlimited number of system users; - continuous automatic estimation of the point coordinates, simplicity of servicing and information pick-up; - pilotless pilotage of ships in a complex fairway and registration of its precision; - arrangement of global networks enveloping large territories, and structures of limited access; - high accuracy and reliability of measurements; - low equipment cost and minimum servicing expenses, operatorless mode of operation. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 7 dwg
