FIELD: medicine; traumatology and orthopedics for compressive osteosynthesis in cases of anterior spondylodesis and corrective osteotomies. SUBSTANCE: brace is formed as unclosed ring of material possessing shape memory effect. Unclosed ring consists of bent branches, between which curved projections are provided. Ends of both branches carry curved flattened legs. Brace also comprises middle branch which is associated with side branches by means of two curved projections. Projections and legs project at right angle to plane of ring and have straight portion and curved ends. Curved ends of projections are directed in opposition to curved ends of legs. Projections and legs have length suited to cross-section of bone fragments to be synthesized. Side branches of ring may have at middle additional projection intended to grip and retain transplant. These projections lie in plane that is perpendicular to ring plane and are directed towards each other. Projections are shaped sharpened. EFFECT: useful instrument for surgeon. 2 cl, 16 dwg
