FIELD: gas processing. SUBSTANCE: removal of hydrogen sulfide from petroleum and natural gas to form elementary sulfur consists in contacting gas with absorbent in fluidization mode with reflux density 80-100 cu.m/sq.m per 1 h and gas feeding rate 7-8.5 m/s.
