FIELD: agriculture and forestry, in particular, promotion of plant growth in open ground. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming trench whose bottom is inclined toward carbon dioxide source along laid pipeline and to side walls positioned at an angle to vertical plane and diverging from below in upward direction; placing source of gas enriched in carbon dioxide and gas distribution pipeline in trench; planting plants and supplying gas containing carbon dioxide to plants. Pipeline has discharge perforations. Trench is oriented perpendicular to wind direction. Gas is supplied at one end of trench, which is provided with slots for planting plants whose leaves and branches form tent. Pipeline is positioned so that its discharge perforations are arranged in vertical plane between tent and trench bottom. Nitrogen-enriched soil layer may be formed on trench side walls.
