FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery; surgical treatment of ischemic disease of brain. SUBSTANCE: first surgeon must provide surgical access to operation field, and must mobilize carotid artery of vertebral artery. Thereupon, o prevent thrombogenesis, patient's vascular bed must be subjected to heparinizing treatment according to generally accepted procedures for vascular surgery by intravenously administering 5 ths.units heparin. It is generally assumed that heparin starts acting, on average, upon passage of 5 min. after injection. Next, upon passage of 3 min., also intravenously, 1 mg delargin diluted in 2-3 ml of physiological solution is administered. Upon expiration of 2 min, i. e. time required for neuropeptide to start acting, patient's blood flow in artery being operated is interrupted by applying artery forceps or special spring-urged clamps onto artery's proximal and distal segments. Finally, surgeon must proceed to required reconstructive surgical operation for eliminating main pathogenic factor causing ischemic disease of brain. EFFECT: enhanced treatment efficiency.
