FIELD: devices for painting all sides of articles with different cross-sections. SUBSTANCE: located behind painting position 10 in direction of movement of long article is drying position 11 made for receiving painted article in freely suspended position and provided with the first means for drying of article from below, and the second means for drying article from atop. The first and second drying means have devices for preferred deflection of electron beam for polymerization of monomer in layer of coating. As paint consists of binding agent, monomer and possible coloring matter, electron beams will polymerize the applied paint to cause its instantaneous drying. Painted and dried long articles are fed from position 11 to the second drying position 12 where they are dried only from atop with the aid of ultraviolet radiation. From position 12 painted and dried articles are directed to position of packing 13. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 13 cl, 1 dwg
