FIELD: parachute technique. SUBSTANCE: parachute has canopy consisting of lower and upper parts. Upper part may be of any configuration: flat ring, cone, semi-sphere, etc. Lower part is made in form of cone whose vortex is directed towards cargo. Apex angle is within 60 to 90 deg. Surface of lower part is made from material possessing high air permeability. Surface of lower part of canopy may be made from gauze material. Ratio of area of material forming gauze to cut-out area of lower part ranges from 0.4 to 0.6. Lower part of canopy may be made in form of truncated cone; length of generatrix of this cone is equal to 0.15-0.3 of diameter of its base. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 cl, 4 dwg
