FIELD: construction industry, manufacture of ceilings of public buildings, sports structures, railway stations with approach lines, industrial and agricultural enterprises, botanical gardens, protection of historical and architectural memorials against atmospheric actions with usage of light and transparent roofing. SUBSTANCE: shroud covering with bearing outline of unspecified shape is formed by system of mutually crossing shroud trusses which belt and triangular invariable grating is made by continuous zigzag shrouds passed through joining members of closed profile with curvilinear internal surface and are installed in joints of trusses. These joints coincide with joints of quadrangle cells of shroud grids which form bearing and stabilizing belts of shroud trusses in plan. Cells of shroud grids are displaced with reference to each other. Shrouds of covering do not integrate into individual trusses but passing in zigzag manner through joining members having shape of ring form sections of concurrent tilted shroud trusses between them. Such design of covering makes it possible to compensate for inaccuracies of mounting, to balance stresses in its members at stages of prostrating and usage and to provide for spatial rigidity. Usage of joining members of one type in the form of ring allows span structure of covering to be made at minimal assembly site as unit before mounting or prefabricated transportable fragments of covering. Process of manufacture of shroud covering includes following operations: 1) stringing of joining rings on shrouds in needed sequence with minimal clearances between rings being established to ensure assembly; 2) movement of rings together with shrouds in required sequence to provide for execution of first operation; 3) sliding of rings strung on bearing and stabilizing shrouds apart and into planned positions. When using prefabricated fragments of covering temporary assembly ropes inserted into joining members are pulled out of them. Integration of fragments into whole covering takes place at same time. EFFECT: reduced time and decreased labor input into assembly of covering. 2 cl, 11 dwg
