FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: steel rope roof comprises two families of prestressed bearing and stabilising cables. Cables of different families are connected to each other by spacers and are combined with flexible joints. Ends of stabilising cables are fixed to rectilinear stiff fixed elements. Ends of bearing cables are fixed to upper belts of support cable trusses installed onto fixed supports. Lower belts of support cable trusses are equipped with tensioning accessories and are combined with upper belts by spacers.
EFFECT: expanded area of application of a steel cable roof in multi-span buildings with enlarged column grid and reduction of costs for installation of a steel cable roof.
