FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting general carotid artery and jugular vein, taking blood from the jugular vein to determine initial level of lipid peroxidation products in blood flowing back from brain. Then blood circulation is interrupted in the general carotid artery and jugular vein and samples of blood are taken that flows back through the functioning jugular vein at irregular time intervals after constricting general carotid arteries. EFFECT: simplified model; saved lives of experimental animals. 1 tbl
