FIELD: plastic metal working, namely apparatuses and methods for corrugating sheet materials used in aircraft construction, ship building and at making building structures. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes fixing and shaping members combined respectively in fixing and shaping units whose working surfaces in the form of linear corrugation are arranged at both sides of blank. Fixing and shaping working surfaces are shifted one relative to another in plane of blank normally relative to blank feed direction. Shaping working surfaces of fixing and shaping members are inclined relative to horizontal plane by angle setting value of apex angle of saw-tooth lines. Fixing and shaping members of respective units are mounted with possibility of mutual reciprocation motion in vertical plane. Shaping unit may perform plane-parallel motion relative to fixing unit in vertical plane parallel to blank feed direction. Method comprises steps of using corrugated material as blank, making zigzag corrugation by bending. Shaping unit performs plane-parallel motion relative to fixing unit in vertical plane parallel to blank feed direction.
