SUBSTANCE: pistol cartridge, mainly of 9-mm caliber, has a cylindrical case with a primer detonator, bulk powder charge, bullet of various kinds, and has dimensions depending on the cartridge caliber (d): 3.1 to 3.8 d - cartridge length; 1.05 to 1.15 d - case flange diameter; 2.0 to 2.4d - case length; used as powder is porous pyro single-base powder having: thickness of burning layer - 0.27 to 0.37 mm; base diameter - 0.1 to 0.2 mm; porosity - 0.25 to 0.65 units; bullet weight coefficient equals 6.5 to 13.7 g/cu. cm, and loading density is within 0.60 to 0.84 g/cu/cm. The pistol cartridge with the parameters of the cartridge case, bullet, charge and geometric dimensions of powder and using porous pyro single-base power with geometric parameters and porosity within 35 to 80 units has a phlegmatic layer within 0.3 to 1.0%, with the depth of the phlegmatic layer being within 0.1 to 0.6 of the thickness of the burning layer; the bullet weight coefficient equals 6.5 to 13.7 g/cu/cm, and the loading density is within 0.7 to 1.15 g/cu.cm.
