FIELD: explosives. SUBSTANCE: in order to improve performance characteristics and solar oil-retention capacity of product, to molten product when being granulated, agent containing strengthening and modifying components is added. Granules having moisture content 0.5- 2.5% are dried and cooled. Strengthening components utilized are solutions of inorganic polymers based on aluminosilicate, aluminate, aluminohydroxonitrate, and aluminophosphate systems. Modifying components are mixtures of ammonium salts with surfactant increasing oleophility of inner surface of ammonium nitrate granules. Amount of agent is chosen such as to provide concentration of solid phase in ammonium nitrate 0.4-1.45 wt %. Cooling and drying of granules are conducted in adiabatic conditions under vacuum with residual pressure no higher than 20000 Pa. Crushing strength of product is 1000-3500 g/granule, absorbency with regard to solar oil 8-15 wt %, and solar oil retention capacity 5-7 wt %. EFFECT: improved consumer quality. 4 cl
