FIELD: plant growing. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has endless pulling members in the form of chain conveyor 1 with parallel runs. Two adjacent runs are movable in opposite directions. Light sources 4 are positioned between conveyor runs. Troughs 8 for plants 9 are positioned on pulling members. Light sources 4 are provided with water cooling system 5 positioned between pulling member runs, in each two runs. Water cooling system inlet and outlet may be connected to building heating system. Plants 9 are planted into containers at locations where conveyor runs come off sprockets 2 and yield is gathered at locations where conveyor runs ascend onto sprockets 2. Plant growing container has vessel with plant holders, nutrient solution reservoir whose bottom is positioned at level below vessel bottom, and increased pressure air main. Nutrient solution reservoir is divided into two sections, with one section connected to vessel end and other section to air main. Wall is positioned in spaced relation to reservoir bottom. Fan is mounted at air main inlet. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 cl, 2 dwg
