WELL STRAINER AND METHOD OF ITS PREPARATION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2102110 C1

FIELD: oil field equipment. SUBSTANCE: well strainer has cylindrical hollow body in the form of tube and filtering members which are made directly in body walls due to intercrossing of spiral shaped recesses on external and longitudinal recesses on internal surfaces and temporary connectors between recesses serve as plugs. Method of preparation of well strainer provides for the following operations. Made on body internal surface are longitudinal and spiral shaped recesses on the external surface. Recesses are separated from one another by connectors. Projections are plastically deformed on external surface to form slots of the needed width, and after installation of strainer in well, connectors are cutoff by special device. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 5 dwg
