FIELD: precious metal recovery. SUBSTANCE: metals are recovered using as sorbent 1,2-bis(perhydro-1,3,5-dithiazin-5-yl)ethane. Sorption is carried out with stirring and no additional heating. Once filtered off and washed out by water, solid residue is incinerated at 650 C. EFFECT: achieved maximum precious metal recovery and considerably reduced are loss of sorbent per metal unit and power consumption. 1 tbl
