FIELD: electroplating. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to depositing electrochemical coatings upon inner surfaces of internal combustion engine cylinder barrels and oil pump casings. Centrifugal electrode in the form of body of revolution is constructed with X-shaped cross-section sections provided with holes forming central passage and, communicating with it, L-shaped channels. Central passage in upper and lower sections is blind on the side of outside ends. L-shaped channels are executed on inner ends of sections. Middle cross-sections have L-shaped channels on the both end surfaces. Upper section has horizontal electrolyte-supply channels communicating with central passage. EFFECT: enlarged intelligence (rapidly controlling electrode height in dependence on height of various-size part being treated) and improved uniformity in current density distribution over the electrode height. 5 dwg
