FIELD: solid-propellant rocket engines with high-pulse solid-propellant charges showing a tendency to vibratory combustion. SUBSTANCE: engine includes housing with sectional solid-propellant charge and damping rings mounted inside it, nozzle unit and ignition device; engine is additionally provided with acoustic chambers located between sections of charge; these chambers have varying section. Damping rings are located at ends of each section of charge between propellant and housing; mating surfaces of each damping ring and charge sections are made in form of truncated cones and are separated by flexible envelops fitted between these surfaces; lesser bases of above-mentioned surfaces are directed towards respective ends of charge sections; bushes are fitted between ends of damping rings of adjacent sections of charge. Each acoustic chamber is formed by end surfaces of adjacent sections of charge directed towards each other and inner surface of respective bush. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
