FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: solid fuel rocket engine comprises a housing with a protective-fixing layer, a nozzle, and a sectional charge with sections of large relative elongation with cuffs. The bottom section of the charge is made of fuel with increased rate of combustion compared to the rate of combustion of the other charge sections. One of the intersectional volumes is made in the form of an annular cavity of T-shaped cross section, formed by the ends of the charge sections, the cuffs and the sleeve adjacent to the housing, made of composite materials with a high degree of damping of acoustic vibrations.
EFFECT: invention enables to improve the energy characteristics of a rocket engine, while ensuring reliability of its operation.
